Amy Williams (Hackett) - School Principle

Amy Williams danced from a young age at the Teresita Marsden School of Dance in Chichester. At the age of 18 Amy gained a place at the Royal academy of Dance where she completed a degree in Ballet Education as well as being awarded Associateship and Licentiateship of the Academy.
A couple of years later Amy completed a Masters degree in Contemporary Dance performance, completing a thesis based around the science and experience of movement. Alongside research on her thesis Amy danced in the Company MapDance, undergoing an extensive tour of the UK and Denmark. As a member of the company Amy worked with choreographers Shobana Jeyasingh, Ben Wright, Charles Linehan, Laila Diallo and Liz Agiss in which she featured as a Solo Dancer.
Amy taught in a variety of establishments across London, Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire before setting up The Amy Hackett School of Dance in 2009. The school is proud to host upwards of 300 pupils from 18 months old to 18 years.

Chantelle Swatridge-Smith - Ballet, Modern, Tap & Teaching Assistant

Chantelle has danced for most of her life, in vast a range of styles. At 16 she studied at Chichester College for 2 years where she gained her BTEC Level 3 extended diploma in Dance achieving a triple distinction as well as her ISTD Diploma in Dance Instruction.
Chantelle has recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Dance with a degree in Ballet Education as well asbeing awarded  Associateship and Licentiateship of the Academy.
Alongside 5 years of teaching experience with a range of established dance schools, Chantelle has performed at many theatres around London and the south coast, including The O2 Arena, the Mayflower Theatre Southampton, Ferneham Hall, The Christchurch Theatre Bromley, The Kings Theatre Portsmouth and London's West End Garrick Theatre where Chantelle featured as a Solo dancer in David Walliams Stage production of Gangster Granny. Since Graduating Chantelle has become a lead choreographer for Bodyrox productions alongside owner Kristen Skinner. 


Lucy Maria Saunders - Ballet, Modern, Tap & Workshops in Lyrical

Lucy is a fully qualified ISTD teacher in Tap, Modern and Ballet, after training at The Brian Rogers Performers College in Essex,  and teaches workshops all around the word.
Lucy travelled the world as a dancer for 20 years as lead Irish and Ballet dancer in 'Spirit of the Dance' as well as gaining experience working with house hold names such as Michael Jackson, Robbie Williams, The Spice Girls and Steps to name but a few. She also spent extensive time on the stages of Las Vegas, night clubs and stadiums.
Now back in Portsmouth, Lucy teaches at multiple different dance schools as well as being Principle of her own -  her focus isnow on sharing her passion and wealth of experience with the next generation of aspiring dancers.

Kasha Land - Ballet, Modern & Tap

Kasha started dance classes at the tender age of two and studied Ballet , Tap, Modern and National dance achieving her  Advanced 2 in all subjects including both RAD and ISTD Ballet.

She went on to study dance at college achieving an A in a-level dance alongside doing her teacher training with Paddy Hurlings here in Southsea.   Kasha also qualified as a YMCA fitness instructor and personal trainer.
Kasha went on to begin her teaching career at the school she trained at  where she taught for over 18 years before leaving to have her first child.  She is proud to have helped teach many students who have gone on to have successful dance careers both teaching and preforming.

Since then Kasha has been teaching at various dance schools across Hampshire as well as teaching her own adult classes and being a mum to two daughters and a cat!
